How NightLyfe users opt in to text messages
This page documents the SMS opt-in flow for the NightLyfe iOS app (NightLyfe, New York, NY). It is publicly accessible and requires no login.
Where a phone number is collected
NightLyfe collects a mobile number in two places, both inside the app, and in both cases the user types their own number:
1. The Sign Up screen. The user enters their number to create an account and verify it with a one-time passcode.
2. The in-app Customer Support form. The user submits a support request and ticks an unchecked-by-default box agreeing to a reply by text.
No message of any kind is sent until the user taps the button. Consent is never a condition of purchase, and NightLyfe sends no marketing text messages.
Consent language shown on the Sign Up screen
Displayed directly beneath the Sign Up button, verbatim:
“By signing up you confirm you are 21 or older and agree to the Terms of Service & Privacy Policy. You also agree to receive account-related text messages from NightLyfe, including verification codes, support replies, and purchase updates. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”
Consent language on the Customer Support form
A checkbox, unchecked by default, that must be ticked before the request can be sent, verbatim:
“I agree to receive text messages from NightLyfe about my request. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
What we send
One-time verification codes when a user signs up or signs in.
Replies from our support team to a request the user submitted in the app.
Updates about the user’s own purchases, such as an event cancellation or a refund confirmation.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Support: nightlyfe.help@gmail.com
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
